Recently, the Department of Education of Jiangxi Province officially released the results of the 2026 Jiangxi Provincial Master of Online Education selection. Following a rigorous process involving institutional nomination, peer review, and project defense, Professor Chen Li of the School of Art has been shortlisted for this prestigious title. With only ten educators selected across the province, Professor Chen’s success—built upon her profound expertise and innovative practices in online education—marks not only a personal accolade but also a major breakthrough for the School in exploring “digital-intelligent technology to empower aesthetic general education and construct new educational models.”
Amidst the tide of informatization, cyberspace has become a critical frontier and a new classroom for ideological and political education in higher education. Grounded in frontline teaching and student affairs, Professor Chen has keenly grasped the dynamics of new media communication. By ingeniously integrating the unique characteristics of the arts, she has pioneered a distinctive path in online education. She has revolutionized classroom instruction by deeply merging specialized teaching with new media, establishing the high-quality general education aesthetic course Appreciation of Gan Opera. With over one billion views across the internet, the course utilizes fresh media language and vivid artistic forms to achieve resonance between knowledge dissemination and value guidance. This approach has firmly rooted mainstream ideology among the new generation of youth, allowing it to flourish in the new digital classroom.
Moving forward, the School will leverage this opportunity to fully harness Professor Chen’s exemplary role as a Master of Online Education. We will further integrate resources from our art disciplines to expand and strengthen our online education platform. Additionally, we will continue to encourage faculty and students to use music, dance, performance, painting, and film to effectively tell China's stories and amplify its voice. Our goal is to establish a comprehensive, whole-process, and all-encompassing network education ecosystem, contributing significant “artistic strength”to the university's “Double First-Class”initiative and the fundamental mission of cultivating virtue through education.
