The major advocates the teaching philosophies of “equal emphasis on teaching and research, and on moral education and talent cultivation” and “respecting individuality and inspiring potential”. Taking the modernity of Chinese art education and the contemporaneity of artistic creation as entry points, and basing itself on Chinese cultural characteristics, the major constructs a distinctive curriculum system that integrates traditional art with modern technology. It extensively absorbs social resources to promote the “integration of society and the classroom”. By participating in the Taoxichuan Art Market and organizing the Lakeside Art Market, the major realizes the goal of researching through teaching and growing through promotion.
